CHAPTER 396.

AN ACT to prohibit the use of haul seines, drag nets, scrapes,
etc., in certain portions of Cox's Creek in Queen Anne's
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall be unlawful for any person or persons under
any pretext whatever to employ the use of haul seines, drag
nets, scrapes or any other contrivance in the taking or catching
of fish or terrapin, (fike nets, gill nets and hook and line ex-
cepted) in the waters of a portion of Cox's Creek in Queen
Anne's County, and its tributaries north of a line drawn from
the wharf of what is known as the Old Point Packing Company
on Cox's Creek, on Kent Island, westerly until it strikes the
shore of John M. Cockey on the opposite side of said creek at
what is known as "James Hole. " Any person or persons vio-
lating this Section shall be adjudged guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction before a Justice of the Peace of said county,
be fined a sum of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25. 00) nor
more than one hundred dollars ($100. 00) and costs and unless
said fine and costs are paid, shall be committed to the county
jail for a period of sixty (60) days, or until said fine and costs
are paid. Said fine is to be paid over to the County Commis-
sioners of said county to be applied upon the public roads of
said county.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all acts or pails of
acts inconsistent with this act be and the same are hereby re-
pealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take-
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 397.

AN ACT to enlarge the limits of the First Election Precinct of
Cambridge or Election District No. 7, of Dorchester County,
by adding thereto certain parts of Election Precinct No. 2
of said Cambridge or No. 7 Election District, of Dorchester
County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the First Election Precinct of Cambridge or No. 7
