the nineteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty
three came the afd Loveday Turner and in her proper person appeared and Saith
that She Cannot gainsay the Indictment afd So as afd against her brought nor can
She Say but that She is guilty of the premisses above upon her imposed as by the
afd Indictment it is alledged and thereupon Submits to the Court &c.a Therefore
it is Considered by the Justices here to wit the Same day and Year last
mentioned That the afd Loveday Turner to have on her bare back fifteen
Lashes well laid on her bare back tell the blood appear as a punishment for
Commiting the offence afd in form afd Confest and also pay the Sum of
Three hundred and Eleven pounds of Tobacco cost ariseing on the premisses
afd to the officers of this Court

    It is also Considered by the Justices afd the Same day and Year afd That
John Gresham Gentl. Sherrif of Kent County take the afd Loveday Turner
into his Custody and Execute the punishment in the Judgment afd Specified and
afterwards to bring her into Court againe Off which precept to wit John
Gresham Gentl Sherrif of Kent County makes return on the day and year
last Said that he hath Executed the punishment in the Judgment afd and
also hath here the Said Loveday Turner before the Court

    Ordered by this Court here that the Same Loveday Turner give Surety
for the fees to the officers of this Court accrueing on the premisses afd

    Thereupon John Gamble of Kent County Gentl. present in Court in his prop.r
person came And acknowledged himself Indebted To the Right Hon.rble the L.d
prop.ry in the Sum of One Thousand pounds of Merchantable Tobacco to be
made and Leveyed on his body goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements to the
use of his Said Lord Ship his heirs and Successors Conditionally That if he
Shall not pay and Satisfie unto the Severall officers of this Court the fees by
them charged accrueing on the premisses afd wherewith he Acknowledges
himself Content

the Court to answer unto an Indictment of fornication at this present Court And
now here at this Court to wit at Kent County Court house in the Town of Chester in Said
County on the third tuesday in March being the Nineteenth day of Said Month Anno
Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty three Came the afd Jane Flaningham
and appeared in her proper person and prayed the afd Recognizance taken
for her appearance as afd be discharged  Ordered by this Court here that
the afd Recognizance be discharged as pray.d

    Henry Spencer's Recognizance taken as afd in the Sum of tenn pounds
