November Court 1733 Justices here to wit at Kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County The Same day and year afd That the afd Thomas Kerson to be find the Sum of Three hundred pounds of Tobacco to the use of his Said Lordships &c.a for his Commiting the assault afd in form afd Confest As also the Sum of four hundred Ninety three pounds of Tobacco Costs accrueing to the officers of this Court on the premisses afd &c.a Ordered by this Court here that John Gresham Gentl. Sherriff of Said County keep the afd Thomas Kerson in Safe Custody untill the fine afd Shall be paid and Thereupon he has Committed Ordered by this Court here that John Gresham Gentl. Sherriff of Said County keep the afd Thomas Kerson in Safe Custody untill the fees afd Shall be Satisfied and Thereupon he has Committed &c.a Ordered by this Court That John Gresham Gentl. Sherriff of Kent County keep Thomas Kerson in Safe Custody untill he Shall give good Surety for his appearance at next Court to be held for Said County on the third Tuesday in March ensueing and In the mean time to be of Good behaviour &c.a Whereupon the Same Thomas Kerson of Kent County Taylor personal in Court in his proper person cometh and Acknowledges himself Indebted to the Right Hon.rble The Lord prop.ry of the province of Maryland in the Sum of Twenty pounds Sterling money of great Brittain to be made and Leveyed on his body goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements to the use of his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors Conditionally that if he the Same Thomas Shall not make his personall appearance at the next Court to be held for Said County on the third tuesday in March then next Ensueing and in the mean time he is to be of good behaviour wherewith the Same Thomas Acknowledges himself Content And also at the Same time Came Henry Trulock of Kent County Planter and Henry Barber of Kent County Labourer in their proper persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted to The Right Hon.rble the Lord proprietary of the province of Maryland In the Sum of Tenn pounds Sterling Each to be made and Leveyed on their bodies goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements to The use of his Said Lord Ship his heirs and Successors Conditionally that if the afd Thomas Kerson Shall not make his personall appearance at the next Court to be held for Kent County on the third tuesday in March then next ensueing and in The mean time he the Said Thomas Kerson is to be of good behaviour wherewith the afd Henry Trulock and Henry Barber Acknowledges themselves to be therewith Content Cap.t John Tennant William Guinney & William Dillan Sworn and Sent to the Grand Jury as Evidences ag.st James Fitzgarrel |
