441 Att a Court held for Kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in November being the twentieth day of Said Month Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty three in the Nineteenth Year of the Dominion of Charles Absolute Lord and proprietarie of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c.a Before
The Sherrif returns to the Grand Jury the pannel of which are as foll. Edward Worrell foreman Francis Barney John Rolph John Tharp John Read Francis Rudd Ralph Page Edward Rogers jun.r Henry Trulock William Smithers Daniel Hull Richd Boyer Christopher Bellican Henry Spenser Richd Wilson Samuel Norris William Boots Benj.a Blackston and William Roberts The afd persons being Sworn as a Grand Jury for the afd County The Court gives them a charge The Act of Assembly against horse Rangers Read and thereupon
do what the Devill put in there heads On which The Sherriff of Said County was ordered to bring him into Court to Answer The Same Henry Trulock Appeared and being Ordered to be Sworn upon which The Court ordered that the afd David Jones being in Court be in Custody for his appearance at any time dureing this Court Sitting after which Surety was offered Thereupon The afd David Jones in Court in his proper person comes and Acknowledges himself indebted to the Right Honrble the Lord prop.ry in the Sum of twenty pounds Sterling money of Great Brittaine to the use of his said Lord Ship his heirs and Successors to be made and Leveyed on his body goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements Conditionally That if the afd David Jones does not at any time dureing this Court Sitting appear and answer unto what Shall be objected against him on his Lord Ships behalf and that in the mean time he is to be of good behaviour wherewith he Acknowledges himself Content And Also at the Same time came Griffith Jones and Edward Rogers Jun.r both of |
