305 Court of Kent to be held at Chester Town to Answer unto Such Matters as Shall be then and there objected against her by Elinor Macnamara concerning an assault and battery this day made on the Said Elinor by the Said Mary and concerning Some other Misdeameanors tending to a breach of the peace and that if She do not Depart without Leave of the Court and till then be of good Behaviour then this Recognizance to be void otherwise to be & remain in full force & Virtue in Law Taken before us two of the Lord prop.rys Justices for Kent County John Evans Geo Skirven And now here at this Court to wit on the third tuesday in June being the twentieth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty two Came Tench Francis Gent. Clk of the Indictments of this Court and prayd that the afd Richard Dowdall might be called to bring in the afd Mary Maccarty according to the Tenour of his Recognizance afd And the afd Richard Dowdall being Solemnly called to bring in the afd Mary Maccarty that She might answer as afd But the Same Mary makes Default
wit at Chester Town in the County afd the day of March Anno Dom Seventeen hundred thirty and one and for the Same Lord prop.ry doth give the Court here to understand and be informed that John Davison late of S.t Pauls Parish in Kent County afd Planter the tenth day of June Anno Domini Seventeen hundred thirty and one at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of the Court did Commit fornication with Rachel Middleton and then and there did beget a bastard Child on the body of her the SAme Rachel Middleton to the high displeasure of Almighty God to the Evil Example of all others in such case offending contrary to the peace of the Said Lord prop.ry his good rule & government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such case made and provided Wherefore the afd Attorney prayeth the advice of the Court here in the premisses for the Said Lord prop.ry and due process of Law against the afd John Davison in this part to Issue to answer to the Said Lord prop.ry of and upon the premisses &c.a And now here at this Court to wit the third tuesday in June being the twentieth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty two Came John Crackneale of Said County who entered into Recognizance |
