272                                    March Court 1731

late of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Labourer the tenth day of February Anno
Domini Seventeen hundred thirty and one at the parish afd in the County afd
within the Jurisdicion of this Court in and upon John Lee in the peace of God and
of the Said Lord prop.ry then and there being with force and Arms an assault did
make and him the Said John then and there did beat wound and evilly treat So
that of his life it was much dispaired and other harms to him then and there
did to the great Damage of the Said John and against the peace of the Said
Lord prop.ry his good rule and dignity &c.a

Maryland              8.th day of February 1731 personally
appeared before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships
Justices of the peace for Said County Edward
Dowling and Acknowledged himself Indebted unto the Right hon.rble
the Lord prop.ry his heirs and Successors in the Sum of ten pounds
Sterling money of Great Brittaine to be Leveyed on his Goods and Chattles
Lands & Tenements Conditionally if he do not appear at the next Court to
be held for the Said County and in the mean time to be of good behav.r
wherewith he is Contented  At which time came Philip Rassin
and Thomas Rasin of Said County and Acknowledged themselves
indebted unto his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors in the Sum
of five pounds Sterling Each to be Levyed as afd Conditionally
that if the Said Edward Dowling doe not make his personall
appearance as afd to answer unto Such things as he Shall be Charged
with touching the begitting of a Child on the Body of Martha
Tippett of Shrewsbury Parish in Said County wherewith they
acknowledge themselves Contented taken before me P Kennard

    And now here at the Said third tuesday in March being the twenty
first day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty one
Came the afd Edward Dowlin and in his proper person appeared
to the afd Recognizance and prayd that the Same and his Suretys might
be discharged  Ordered by the Court here that the Same Recognizance
be disch.d as prayed Edward Dowling his recognizance taken as afd
