243 Town in Kent County afd at the next County Court there to be held the third tuesday of Nov.r next to Answer to Such Matters & things as Shall be then & there objected against him by Mathias Day of S.d County Cunstable Concerning the whiping & Battering of the Said Day by the Said Chorom and in the mean time that he be of the good behav.r and do not depart the Court without Licence Then this Recognizance to be Void Otherwise be & remain in force & virtue Taken & Acknowledged Before me Day & date as above written Geo Skirven And now here at this Court to wit at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in Nov.r being the Sixteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty one came the afd William Chorom and in his proper person appeared and prayd the Recognizances afd for his appearance be disch.d Thereupon it is Ordered that the afd Recogniz.c be disch.d The afd John Keating & John Gleaves Recognizances as afd are by this Court here Each disch.d there being no cause Shewn to the Contrary Maryl.d fs.t Memorandum Sep.r 3.d 1731 Joseph Mann John Keating and John Gleaves all of Kent County in Maryland personally acknowledged themselves indebted unto the Right Hon.ble the Lord prop.rys of Maryland his heirs & Successors viz.t the afd Joseph Mann the Sum of ten pounds Sterling & and the afd John Keating & John Gleaves five pounds like money Each to be Leveyed on their Bodys goods & Chattles Lands &c.a Conditionally if the afd Joseph Mann doth not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lopp Court to be held at Chester Town in Kent County the third tuesday in Nov.r next then and there to give Evidence in behalf of his Lord Ship against a Certain William Chorom who is alledged to have whip'd and beat a Certain Mathias Day of Said County &c.a Then this Recognizance to be Void otherwise to Remain in full force Taken before me one of the R.t Hon.rble the lord prop.rys Justices for Kent County Geo Skirven And now here at the Same Court to wit on the third tuesday in Nov.r being the Sixteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom.
