21 At Shrewsbury parish in the County afd One barrow hogg of the value of two hundred pounds of tob.o of the goods and Chattles of a Certain John Wrightson then & there being found then & there Feloniously did Steal take & bear away whereof he was Commit before our Worshipfull the Justices of our said County of Kent and grant unto him our firm peace & will not that he Suffer any Corporall punishment and be in the same plight State and Condition to all intents and purposes as if the said felony whereof he the same Phillemon Church hath been Commit had never been done or Committed to keep our Dear brother Benedict Leonard Calvert Govern.r and Commander in Cheif in & over our said province of Maryland this third day of August in this fifteenth year of our Dominion &c.a Annoq Dom Seventeen hundred & twenty Eight by the pretext of which Sellers pattent of the said Lord prop.ry the said Phillemon pleading the said Sellers pattent prays that he of the of the psses of by the Court there may be Dismissed The court values the hogg in the Indictment to 200£ Tob.o the four fold of which being Eight hundred pounds of tob.o & to return the value of the hogg Ordered that he give ^security for his^ good behavour for the space of tenn months |
