August Court 1728 Anno Dom. 1728 the afd Jane Kennard Appeared the afd Nath.ll Kennard his recognizance is Discharged &c
late of Shrewsbury parish in the County afd Labourer the tenth day of May Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred twenty & seven with force and Arms at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court One barrow hogg of the value of two hundred pounds of tob.o of the goods and Chattles of a Certain John Wrightson then and there being found then and there feloniously did steal take and bear away Contrary to the peace of the said Lord prop.ry that now is his good rule & Governm.t and against the form of the Act of Assembly in such Case lately made & provided T Francis Cler. pac. And the afd Phillemon Church by Joshua George said James Calder Cometh and saith that he is in no sort guilty of the premisses above upon him Imposed as by the Indictment it is alledged and thereof he putteth himself upon the Country &c J George and J Calder And he who followeth for the Lord prop.ry in like manner saith he is Guilty T Francis p Lord prop.ry Thereupon Command was given to the Sherf of Kent County that he hath here Imediately twelve &c.a by whom &c.a who neither &c.a to Recognize &c.a because _____ &c.a of which said precept the said Sherf to wit John Gresham Gentl And now here at this day to wit the |
