Ordered by the Court here that Warrant Issue ag.st the
Same Thomas to Answer unto what Shall be
objected him on his Ldships behalf After which
came the Sherf of Said County to wit Joseph Young
Gent and made return of the Same War.t Cepi Cprpus &c.a

    Kent County fs.t The Jurors for the Right Honourable the Lord prop.ry
that now is for the body of Kent County afd upon their Oath do present that
Thomas Morsell late of Shrewsbury Parish in the County afd planter the tenth
day of Aprill Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty at the parish
afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicon of this Court did Committ fornication
with a Certain Phebe Gilbert and then and there did beget a bastard Child on
the body of her the Same Phebe to the high Displeasure of Almighty God
to the evil Example of all others in Such Case offending Contrary to the Peace
of the Said Lord prop.ry that now is his good Rule and Government and ag.st   
the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided
Test Phebe Gilbert                                                T francis Cler. pac.
    On the Same Indictm.t was endorsed as foll. A true bell

    And the afd Thomas Morsel in his proper person comes and Saith that he cannot
gainsay the Indictment afd So as afd against him brought nor but that he
is guilty of the premisses above upon him imposed as by the afd Indictment it is
alledged & thereupon Submits to the Court  Therefore it is Considered by
the Court here to wit on the third tuesday in March Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred
and thirty  That the afd Thomas Morsel pay the Sum of thirty Shillings
Current money it being as fine for Committing the Crime of fornication
afd  And also pay the Sume of two hundred thirty Six pounds Tob.o
Costs accrueing on the premisses afd to the Officers of this Court

    Ordered by the Court here That the Same Thomas give Security
that no charges on the Sume may accrue by means of the afd Child
to the County  On which the Same Thomas Acknowledges himselfe
Indebted to the Right Hon.rble the Lord proprietarie his heirs And
Successors ^in the Sum of four Thousand pounds of Tobacco^ Conditionally That if the afd Thomas Shall keep the
