CHAPTER 384.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 97 of
Article 21 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Con-
veyancing," sub-title ''Miscellaneous," by further defining
the class of leases and sub-leases to which certain provisions
of this sub-title does not apply.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 97 of Article 21 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, title ''Conveyancing," sub-title "Miscellaneous," be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to
read as follows:

97. The provisions of Chapter 485 of the Acts of 1884 of
the General Assembly of Maryland, and the provisions of Chap-
ter 395 of the Acts of 1888 of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, and the provisions of Chapter 207 of the Acts of 1900 of
the General Assembly of Maryland, were not intended to apply
and do not apply to leases or sub-leases of property leased ex-
clusively for business, commercial, manufacturing, mercantile
or industrial purposes, as distinguished from residence pur-
poses, where-the term of such lease or sub-leases, including all
renewals provided for therein, shall not exceed ninety-nine
years.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.

CHAPTER 385.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 110 A, 116B, 116D, 116E and 116F of
Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Li-
censes," as said sections were enacted under the sub-title
"Boxing, Sparring and Wrestling," by Chapter 710 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1920, and to
re-enact said sections with amendments, and to make applica-
ble to every county of this State, as well as to the City of
Baltimore, the provisions of Sections 116C, 116G, 115H.
116I, 116J, 116K, 116L, 116M, 116X, 116 O, 116P, 116Q
and 116R of said Article 56 as enacted by said Chapter 710
of said Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1920,
and Sections 116A, 116B, 116D, 116E and 116F of said
Article 56 as re-enacted hereby.
