SEC. 2. And be U further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.

CHAPTER 376.

AN ACT to repeal send re-enact with amendments Section 30 of
Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Testa-
mentary Law," sub-title "Administration by Foreign Ex-
ecutors and Administrators," providing for the appraise-
ment and taxation of stock transfers by such executors and
administrators.

(Vetoed.)

CHAPTER 377.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter 384
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of nine-
teen hundred, "An Act to authorize and empower the Mayor
and Council of Hagerstown to establish a system for the col-
lection of garbage in Hagerstown, Maryland."

Section 1A. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 384 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland of nineteen hundred be, and the same is here-

by repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as
follows:

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and Council of Hagerstown are hereby
authorized and empowered to establish by ordinance a system
for the collection of garbage within the corporate limits of
Hagerstown, and its removal beyond said limits, together with
the disposal of the same when so collected or removed, and to
this end are authorized and empowered to enter into contract
with any person or persons, corporation or corporations, for the
performance of any duty or services made necessary or proper
by such ordinance, or in their discretion the said Mayor and
Council may appoint officers and agents to perform such duty
or services, to be appointed as other city officers are appointed.
