SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.

CHAPTER 311.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 20
of Article 11 of Bagby's Annotated Code of the Public
General Laws of Maryland title "Banks and Trust Com-
panies," sub-title "Banks", and Section 42 of Article 11
of said Code, title, "Banks and Trust Companies," sub-
title, "Trust Companies," as said sections were amended
by the enactment of Chapter 268 of the Acts of 1920, for
the purpose of imposing certain restrictions upon the
establishment of branch banks and branch trust companies,
and also to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
23 of Article 11 of said Annotated Code of Maryland, title,
"Banks and Trust Companies," sub-title, "Banks", as the
same was re-enacted by Chapter 33 of the Acts of 1918 for
the purpose of empowering the Bank Commissioner to
grant to any bank applying therefor, the right to exer-
cise the same powers and privileges conferred by law upon
trust companies.

CHAPTER 312.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County"
sub-title '' Havre de Grace'', as said Article was codified by
Chapter 680 of the Acts of 1916, said new section to be
known as section 306A and to follow immediately after
section 306 of said Article, providing for the filing of deeds
for the transfer of property in the City of Havre de Grace
with the Mayor and City Council of said city.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Har-
ford County", sub-title "Havre de Grace", as said Article
