SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the annual cost of
said bond shall be paid by the County Commissioners of Har-
ford County.

CHAPTER 293.

AN ACT to repeal Section 137 of Article 77 of the Annotated
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Public

Education," sub-title "Source and Distribution of Income,"
as said Section 137 was re-enacted by Chapter 506 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1916, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 137 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Pubic Education,"
sub-title "Source and Distribution of Income," as said Section
137 was re-enacted by Chapter 506 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1916, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:

137. The State Superintendent of Schools shall certify to
the Comptroller, on or before the last day of December, Feb-
ruary, May and September, the amounts due on said dates to
the Board of Public School Commissioners of the City of Bal-
timore and to the county boards of education of the several
counties, on account of the part payment by the State of the
salaries of county superintendents, Superintendent of Schools
in Baltimore City, supervising teachers and helping teachers
in the City of Baltimore and the several counties, and the
entire annual salary of one attendance officer in the City of
Baltimore and in each of the several counties. The Comptrol-
ler shall on or before the first day of January, March, June
and October draw his warrant on the Treasurer of the State
of Maryland for the respective amounts due the City of Bal-
timore and the treasurers of the county boards of education
of the several counties. On the receipt of the warrant of the
Comptroller, the Treasurer of the State of Maryland shall im-
mediately pay the respective amounts due the City of Balti-
more and the treasurer of the county boards of education of
the several counties.
