SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts
of laws inconsistent with this Act be and they are hereby re-
pealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.

CHAPTER 285.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (Duckett & Clagett's Edi-
tion), title "Prince George's County," sub-title "Elections,"
said new section to be known as Section 248A and to fol-
low immediately after Section 248 of said Article, relating
to the payment of the judges and clerks of election.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (Duckett
& Clagett's Edition), title "Prince George's County," sub-
title "Elections," said new section to be known as Section
248A, to follow immediately after Section 248 of said Article
and to read as follows:
248A. The judges and clerks of election shall be paid cash
immediately upon the performance of their duties and upon
the presentation of proper vouchers for the same. The County
Commissioners are hereby authorized and directed to include
in the annual levy a sufficient sum so that the said judges and
clerks of election shall be paid promptly and in order to accom-
plish, this, the said County Commissioners shall include in
the levy for the year 1922 a sum sufficient to pay the salaries
of said judges and clerks of elections for two years, and there-
after annually a sum sufficient to pay the said salaries for that
year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.
