for any service or services so rendered except as herein pro-
vided for. That the salary of the members of said police force
shall be $1,500 per annum, payable monthly, by the County
Commissioners and the County Commissioners are further
authorized and directed to pay to every member of the force
an additional sum of $300 per annum for the purpose of de-
fraying each members expenses for materials and supplies for
his motorcycle, uniform and official equipment and no other
fees or compensation of any kind whatsoever.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners are hereby authorized, directed and empowered to
purchase motor cycles with or without side cars as the County
Commissioners in their discretion may think advisable for the
use of the members of the County Police and said County Com-
missioners may from time to time sell, trade or otherwise dis-
pose of said motor cycle and purchase new ones at such time as
they may regard the purchase of new machines advisable.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners shall create and set apart a fund to be known and
designated as the Police Fund and the County Commissioners
are authorized, empowered and directed to levy each and every
year such sum or sums of money in said fund as may be neces-
sary and requisite to carry out the intent and purposes of this
Act in addition to such sum or sums of money as is hereinafter
provided for to maintain said police force.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That all fines, penalties
and forfeitures of every kind, character, nature and descrip-
tion for any and all offenses imposed by any Justice of the
Peace or any Judge of the Circuit Court for Montgomery
County and collected by any officer authorized to collect any

fine, penalty or forfeiture in said county said sum or sums of
money so collected by any officer, as aforesaid, shall within 30
days from the date of its collection be paid over to the County
Commissioners of Montgomery County and said County Com-
missioners shall direct that said sum or sums of money shall
be credited to the Police Fund, as aforesaid, and said County
Commissioners are authorized, empowered and directed to ex-
pend for the maintenance and upkeep of said police system and
the salary and expenses incurrred thereby any sum or sums of
money that they may deem proper and necessary out of such
Police Fund to better govern and police the said county.
