north 51 degrees and 30 minutes east 1271 feet; thence north
33 degrees and 30 minutes west 426 feet; thence north 34
degrees and 30 minutes west 1448 feet to the beginning.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is an
emergency law and necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public health and safety, and having been passed by a
yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 248.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 73 of
Article 99 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Wild
Fowl—Birds and Game, " sub-title "Elk and Deer, " provid-
ing a closed season for deer.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 73 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title
"Wild Fowl—Birds and Game, " sub-title "Elk and Deer, " be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to
read as follows:

73. No person shall shoot, trap, pursue, catch or kill, or gun
or hunt for any deer within the State of Maryland, from June
1, 1922, until the tenth day of November, 1926. There shall be
an open season for the killing of deer in the State of Maryland
from November 10th, 1926, to November 20th, 1926, inclusive,
and thereafter no person shall shoot, trap, pursue, catch or kill
or gun or hunt for any deer between the twentieth day of No-
vember and the tenth day of November in any year, exclusive
of both dates. During said open season on deer any person
or persons hunting same are required to have the proper hunt-
ing license, and may kill one buck or male deer only during
the open season, with horns not less than four inches in length.
It shall be unlawful to kill, or pursue, any fawn or female
deer at any time within the limits of this State. It shall be
unlawful to pursue deer with dogs in any manner. Any per-
son convicted before any justice of the peace of this State for
