will require for the purpose aforesaid, from time to time adver-
tise and sell said bonds as above provided or so many thereof
as shall be necessary to produce the sum designated by the
Board of Education of Allegany County, but in no event shall
the credit of the county be pledged to an amount in excess of
one million dollars ($1, 000, 000. 00), and the County Commis-
sioners shall pay over the entire proceeds of the sale of said
bonds to said Board of Education of Allegany County, who
shall account for the same and the expenditures thereof in the
same manner as they account for other money passing through
their hands.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the proceeds of the afore-
said bonds when issued, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
shall be used for purchasing school sites, additional land for
old sites, for the erection of new buildings, for additions to old
buildings, for alterations, changes, paving, equipping, improv-
ing grounds and for improving the school sanitation in Alle-
gany County.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That if for any reason
whatsoever there should be a surplus of funds left after all
expenditures have been made in keeping with terms of this Act,
the same shall be paid back to the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Allegany County, to be used by them to retire said
bonds.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, nineteen hundred twenty-
two (1922).

CHAPTER 235.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 32
and Section 34 of Chapter 237 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at its Session in the year
1914, and declaring the same an emergency law and neces-
sary for the immediate preservation of the public safety.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 32 and Section 34 of Chapter 237 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at its ses-
sion in the year 1914, be and the same are hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows:
