exceed for District No. 3, being Myers' District, the sum of
Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15, 000. 00); and shall not exceed
for District No. 4, being Woolery's District, the sum of Twen-
ty-five Thousand Dollars ($25, 000. 00); and shall not exceed
for District No. 5, being Freedom District, the sum of Twenty-
five Thousand Dollars ($25, 000. 00); and shall not exceed for
District No. 6, being Manchester District, the sum of Fifteen
Thousand Dollars ($15, 000. 00); and for District No. 7, being
Westminster District, shall not exceed the sum of Twenty
Thousand Dollars ($20, 000. 00); and for District No. 8, being
Hampstead District, shall not exceed the sum of Fifteen Thou-
sand Dollars ($15, 000. 00); and for District No. 9, being
Franklin District, shall not exceed the sum of Forty-five Thou-
sand Dollars ($45, 000. 00); and for District No. 10, being
Middleburg District, shall not exceed the sum of Twenty-five
Thousand Dollars ($25, 000. 00); and for District No. 11, be-
ing New Windsor District, shall not exceed the sum of Twenty
Thousand Dollars ($20, 000. 00); and for District No. 12, be-
ing Union Bridge District, shall not exceed the sum of Twenty
Thousand Dollars ($20, 000. 00); and for District No. 13, be-
ing Mt. Airy District, shall not exceed the sum of Thirty
Thousand Dollars ($30, 000. 00); and for District No. 14, be-
ing Barrett District, shall not exceed the sum of Thirty-five
Thousand Dollars ($35, 000. 00); and provided that the aggre-
gate amount of money realized from the sale of said bonds and

so expended in the permanent improvement of public county
roads in the several districts of said county shall not exceed the
sum of Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350, -
000. 00).

SEC. 12. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of
this Act shall be construed as additional and supplemental to
and independent of and not in substitution for or in conflict
with any of the provisions of the General Laws of the State of
Maryland relating to public roads and the powers of said Board
of County Commissioners in connection therewith; and shall
be construed as additional and supplemental to and indepen-
dent of all local laws relating to public roads in Carroll county
and the power of said Board of County Commissioners in con-
nection therewith.

SEC. 13. And be it further enacted, That the money arising
from the sale of said bonds shall be paid to the joint order of
the Board of County Commissioners of Carroll County and the
