bonds shall fall due and become payable on the first day of
July, 1947.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the Board of Edu-
cation of Carroll County shall from time to time, within five
years after the passage of this Act, determine the order and
succession in which said public school buildings designated in
Section 2 of this Act shall be erected and equipped, and shall
forthwith notify in writing the said Board of County Commis-
sioners of said determination.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That when the said
Board of Education shall have notified the said Board of
County Commissioners of its desire to avail itself of the pro-
visions of this Act and of the public school building or build-
ings it proposes to erect and equip, as designated in Section 2
of this Act, and of the amount of money necessary therefor,
and when the contract or contracts therefor have been awarded
as hereinafter provided, the said Board of County Commission-
ers shall advertise and sell so many of said bonds as may be
necessary to produce the sum of money designated by said
Board of Education, not to exceed the several amounts speci-
fied in Section 2 of this Act for the respective public school
buildings in said Section 2 provided for; and the said Board
of County Commissioners shall pay over to the said Board of
Education the entire proceeds from the sale of said bonds, less
one-half of the amount expended in payment of the cost of
engraving, printing, advertising and other outlays of money in
connection with the issue of the loan hereby authorized; and
the said Board of Education shall account for the same and the
expenditure thereof in the same manner as it accounts for other
monies passing through its hands.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That said Board of Edu-
cation shall award the contracts for the work of erecting said
new public school buildings, designated in Section 2 hereof,
and equipping the same with heating plant, and water fixtures,
to the lowest bidder therefor, provided that said lowest bid shall
be within the amount specified in Section 2 hereof for each of
said public school buildings designated in said section, after
the said Board of Education shall have advertised for bids
therefor, and the said Board of Education shall require the
successful bidders or contractors to whom the work is awarded
to execute a contract in writing, for the faithful performance
of the same, and in the said contract, the said builders or con-
