tracts in accordance with the specifications supplied by the
commissioners herein named, provided that the said construc-
tion or re-construction, enlargement or improvement of the
said water supply system and sewer system herein provided for
shall not exceed in cost in the aggregate the said sum of Forty
Thousand Dollars, and provided further that when so built or re-
built said system of water supply and sewer system and any ex-
tension or enlargement thereof shall be under the control and
superintendence of the said President and Commissioners of
Princess Anne aforesaid.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That in case any of the Com-
missioners named in the next preceding section shall die, resign,
or refuse to act, the other Commissioners named in this Act
shall have full power and authority to supply the vacancy or
vacancies.
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the first day of June, nineteen hundred and twenty-two.

CHAPTER 172.
AN ACT to provide for transcribing General Index J. K. H.
1842-1884 in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Kent County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County be
and he is hereby authorized and required to transcribe General
Index J. K. H. 1842-1884, of the Land Records of Kent Coun-
ty, now worn out and rendered inefficient from continued use
in said office, in a new book, well bound, for that purpose.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Commission-
ers of Kent County, Maryland, are required to levy on the as-
sessable property of said county a sufficient sum to pay said
clerk as follows: One cent for each ten words or figures copied,
and five cents for each name reindexed under the foregoing
section, and also the cost of the necessary record book to com-
plete said indexing.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1st, 1922.
