said County, of such width, height and structure as in their
discretion said Commissioners may deem necessary and subject
to all the provisions of the laws of the United States regulating
the construction of bridges over navigable waters; the said
bridge to be located at such place as the said County Commis-
sioners in their discretion may determine.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the consent of the County
Commissioners of Somerset County required by the terms of
Section 1 of this Act to the construction of the bridge shall be
given by formal resolution duly passed at a regular meeting
of said County Commissioners, such resolution to set forth such
width, height and structure for such bridge as the said County
Commissioners may deem necessary.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That if consent shall be given by
the County Commissioners of Somerset County to the construc-
tion of the bridge referred to in this Act in the manner requir-
ed by the terms of this Act, it shall not be necessary for said
Commissioners or the Edward W. McCready Memorial Hospi-
tal to follow the procedure required by Sections 20 to 35 in-
clusive, of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the first day of June 1922.

CHAPTER 161.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of Somerset County to include in the County levy for the
year 1922, such sums of money as may be due various
persons and corporations for work done and materials
furnished for the repairs, maintenance and improvements
of the county roads of Somerset County.
WHEREAS, Section 227 of Chapter 260 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, of 1916, prohibits the County
Commissioners of Somerset County from levying for repairs,
maintenance and improvements of the County road of Som-
erset County more than twenty-five cents on the one hundred
dollars; and whereas owing to the increased cost of labor and
materials furnished on said roads during the last five years.
