Section 406. There shall be the following number of jus-
tices of the peace and constables for Harford County, to wit:
For Election District No. 1, five justices of the peace and
three constables; for Election District No. 2, five justices of
the peace and three constables; for Election District No. 3,
nine justices of the peace and four constables; for Election
District No. 4, seven justices of the peace and three constables:
for Election District No. 5, seven justices of the peace and
three constables; for Election District No. 6, four justices of
the peace and two constables.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is an
emergency Act and is necessary for the immediate safety and
preservation of the people, and three-fifths of the members of
each House of the Legislature having concurred therein shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 139.
An ACT to add a new section to Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title, "Harford County",
sub-title "Sheriff", to follow section 454 and be known
as Section 454-A, the purpose of said section being to re-
quire the Sheriff of Harford County to serve all process
issued by the Justices of the Peace of said County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be added to Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County",
sub-title, "Sheriff" to follow Section 454 and to be known as
Section 454-A, said new section to read as follows:
SEC. 454-A. The Sheriff of Harford County shall promptly
serve all process issued to him by the Justices of the Peace of
said County, and shall be entitled to charge and receive therefor
such fees as are allowed constables under the general fee bill
provided by the Code of Public General Laws.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the first day of June, 1922.
