time established, made, and declared by the lawful authority
of said church. They shall have power to acquire, hold, im-
prove, and exchange, sell and convey and dispose of property

both real and personal, in fee simple, or otherwise.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That said corporation
shall have power to secure land for a cemetery or burying
ground by gift, purchase, or otherwise and to improve, beautify,
and keep in order and good condition the same, and likewise
particular lots, graves, and tombs therein; and to sell and
dispose of burial lots, by deed, receipt, or otherwise, and to
apply the money for same or income therefrom, to improve,
beautify, and keep in order and good condition, said cemetery
or burying grounds, or particular lots, graves, tombs, or monu-
ments therein, or in connection therewith.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.

CHAPTER 130.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Commissioners of St.
Michaels, Maryland, to issue bonds for the purpose of re-
funding the present indebtedness of the town of St.
Michaels, Maryland, accruing under authority of Sections
two, three and four of Chapter forty nine, Acts of 1918
of the General Assembly of Maryland; and to provide for
a sinking fund with which, from time to time, to pay off
and discharge said indebtedness.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections Two, Three and Four, of Chapter 49, Acts
of 1918, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted
to read as follows:

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That in order to enable The Com-
missioners of St. Michaels to pay off and discharge the prom-
issory notes and other evidences of indebtedness of said town
incurred in the purchase, operation, extension and mainten-
ance of the electric lighting plant owned by said town, the
said Commissioners of St. Michaels are hereby authorized and
empowered to borrow, on the faith and credit of said town,
