dred and ninety thousand ($190, 000. 00) dollars five per cent.
"Cumberland City Consolidated Debt Bonds" issued under the
authority of Section 83 of Chapter 56 of the Acts of 1892 of
the General Assembly of Maryland.

Section 4. And be it further enacted, That in the event said
bonds are issued the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland
shall levy out of the general funds of said city the sum of ten
thousand ($10, 000. 00) dollars, and such further amount as
may be necessary to pay the interest upon the bonds hereby
authorized, then outstanding from year to year during each
year that any of the said bonds remain outstanding, and shall
collect, said money so levied and pay for and redeem each year
ten thousand ($10, 000. 00) dollars of said bonds, together with
the interest upon the remaining outstanding bonds. Said sum
of ten thousand ($10, 000. 00) dollars and the amount neces-
sary for interest as aforesaid so levied shall be included in the
general levy of the said Mayor and City Council of Cumber-
land.

Section 5. And be it further enacted, That the bonds here-
under authorized shall be issued in addition to and exclusive
of the ten per cent, bonded indebtedness on the assessed valua-
tion of the property in the City of Cumberland, authorized by
Chapter 158 of the Acts of 1898 of the General Assembly of
Maryland, paragraph entitled "Finances. ''

Section 6. And be it still further enacted, That this is an
emergency law, necessary for the health, safety and best in-
terests of the citizens of Cumberland, and three-fifths of the
members of the General Assembly of Maryland concurring
therein, shall take effect from the date of its passage.

Approved March 1st, 1022.

CHAPTER 13.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 1 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, title "Allegany County, " sub-
title "Frostburg, " said new section to be known as Section
149A, and to follow immediately after Section 149 of said
Article, providing for the compensation to be paid to the
Tax Collector of said town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
