WHEREAS, The Land and Mortgage Indexes in the office of
the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County made
since December 31st, 1914, are in need of transcribing for the
purpose of having them conform to the General Land and Mort-
gage Indexes in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Baltimore County prior to January 1st, 1915; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore Coun-
ty, under the supervision of the Judges of said Court, be and
he is hereby authorized and required to make or have made
transcripts of the Land Indexes and Mortgage Indexes in his
office containing entries from January 1st, in the year 1915, to
December 31st, in the year 1921, inclusive of both dates, in
conformity with the General Land and Mortgage Indexes in
said office in such manner as to conform to the requirements of
Sections 55 and 56 of Chapter 495, Acts of 1908, and codified
in the Revised Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County,
known as Offutt's Code and passed at the General Assembly of
Maryland, Acts of 1916.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the expense in-
curred by making of said transcripts which shall not exceed the
legal rate for such work, shall be paid out of the surplus reve-
nue in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Balti-
more County.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect, from the first day of June, 1922.

CHAPTER 02.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 216
of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Garrett County, " sub-title "State's Attorney, " as said
section was amended by Chapter 115 of the Acts of 1918,
imposing additional duties on the State's Attorney for Gar-
rett County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 216 of Article 12 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Garrett County, " sub-title
"States' Attorney, " as said section was amended by Chapter
