sister republic and of commendation and confidence in Presi-
dent Obregon; now therefore be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, that the
state of Maryland congratulates the people of Mexico upon
the establishment of a stable government and upon the dawn
of a new era of peace and prosperity and friendly relation-
ships; and

Be it further resolved, that the Secretary of the Senate and
the Clerk of the House of Delegates, be directed to forward
copies of this resolution to the President of the United States,
the President of the Senate of the United States Senate, and
the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United
States, and to each Senator and representative of Maryland
in the Congress of the United States; and

Be it futher resolved, that the Secretary of the Senate and

President Obregon a copy of these resolutions.

NO. 3.

A Joint Resolution requesting the Senators and Representatives
in Congress from Maryland to endeavor to have the Indian
Head Naval Proving Ground re-established, and the ordnance
machinery and equipment returned thereto from Dalghren,
Virginia.

WHEREAS, The people of Charles County are suffering, in
common with those of the rest of the State of Maryland, from
low prices of their main products and the continued high prices
of all commodities needful for thedr subsistence; which fact
makes all unnecessary taxation bear oppressively upon them;
and

WHEREAS, A large area of said county's real estate, adjacent
to which is located the United States ISTaval Proving Ground at
Indian Head, Maryland, has been reduced very greatly in value,
entailing direct financial loss to the several hundred owners of
same, necessarily and materially increasing the taxes of the
people of the entire county and also affecting the State's reve-
