to traveling expenses and all other expenses incurred in the dis-
charge of his duties. The said Game Warden may be removed
by the Conservation Commission of this State at any time upon
proof satisfactory to them that said Game Warden is not vigor-
ously enforcing the Game or Fish Laws of this State, or is not
a fit person for said position. The word "Game" shall be taken
to embrace, Deer, Rabbit, Squirrel, Water-fowl (including
Brant, wild ducks, geese and swan), Rail, Coot, Gallinule,
Woodcock, Snipe, Yellow-legs, Plover, Quail (partridge) Ruffed
Grouse (pheasant), Wild turkey, English, Mongolian and
Dark-necked Bohemian Pheasants, Dove, Reed-bird (rice-bird
or bobolink) or Black Bird, or Muskrat, Otter or Mink, or any
other birds or animals that are protected by a closed season.
Section 47. The Conservation Commission shall issue to
each person so appointed as Deputy Game Warden a commis-
sion and transmit such commission to the clerk's office of the
Circuit Court for the County in which the Deputy Game War-
den so appointed has his legal residence, or to the office of the
clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore City, if residing in
Baltimore City, and they may revoke and annual any such
appointment at their pleasure.
Section 56. All Sheriffs, Constables and Police Officers and
all the officers appointed by the Conservation Commission shall
assist in enforcing all of the Game and Fish Laws of this
State, and shall have all the powers of a Deputy Game War-
den. The Game Warden and the Deputy Game Wardens and
any other officers shall not be liable for any damage or costs
sustained by any person or corporation by reason of the wrong-
ful seizure of Game, wild life, or fish under this sub-title, or
the enforcement of any Local or General Game or Fish Law;
provided, however, that the enforcement of this sub-title shall
in nowise prevent prosecution of persons or corporations for
violation of Game, wild life or fish Laws of this State.
Section 67. For the purpose of providing a fund for the
payment of the expenses of protecting and propagating certain
birds and animals, and preventing1 unauthorized persons from
killing1 the same, no person or persons shall at any time hunt,
pursue or kill or trap in any manner any Game as defined in
Section 44 of this Article, or any birds or animals on which
there is an open and closed season, without first having pro-
cured a license to so hunt, pursue or trap, and then only during
the respective periods of the year when it shall be lawful to
