(F) The Council may also appoint such other officers in-
cluding Deputy Bailiffs as may be necessary to carry out the
provisions of this Charter. In addition to the bailiff and
deputy bailiffs which may be appointed by said Council, the
Mayor of the town may in cases of emergency appoinf such
special bailiff for such periods not exceeding thirty (30) days
as he may deem necessary..

(G) The Council may allow any of the officers of the town
such compensation for their services as may be deemed reason-
able, and may appoint the same person to perform the duties
of more than one office.

(H) The Council and all other officers of the corporation
shall, before they enter upon the duties of their respective
offices, take an oath that they will support the constitutions of
the United States and the State of Maryland, and that they
will diligently and faithfully discharge the duties of their
offices without favor, partiality, or prejudice.

(I) The Council may require any of its officers to give bond
in such penalty and with such sureties as they may deem nec-
essary, conditioned for the faithful performance of their duties.
Said bond shall be filed with the Mayor. When any officer
wilfully fails to discharge any duty of his office, he may, in
addition to the remedy on his bond, be fined by the Mayor, at
his discretion, not exceeding ten dollars for any one offense,
and for the payment of such fine his bond shall be responsible.
Any officer may be dismissed by the Council at its discretion.

Section 7. The Mayor shall have all the powers of a Jus-
tice of the Peace in criminal cases where the "Town of Ta-
koma Park" is a party. He shall have power to administer
oaths of office to members of the Council, and appointed or
elected officers. He shall receive the same fees as Justices of
the Peace are allowed for similar service, and an appeal from
his judgment may be taken to the Circuit Court for Montgom-
ery County, which court shall hear and determine the matter
as upon appeal from a Justice of the Peace; provided, how-
ever., that the Justice of the Peace residing1 in said town shall
have the same power to hear, try and determine cases where the
"Town of Takoma Park" is a party as they now have in cases
where the State of Maryland is a party.

Section 8. (A) The Council shall have power to pass all
ordinance necessary for the good government of the town; to
prevent, remove, and abate, or cause to be removed or abated,
