Maryland at its session of 1890, and amended by Chapter
558 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1894, by Chap-
ter 310 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1896, by
Chapters 93, 112 and 117 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of 1900, by Chapter 18 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1904, by Chapter 100 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of 1906, by Chapter 526 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1910, by Chapters 552 and 750 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of 1912, by Chapters 38 and
744 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1914, by Chap-
ter 302 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1918, and
by Chapter 692 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1920; and to repeal Sections 571 to 628, inclusive, of Arti-
cle 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Montgomery County," sub-title "Takoma Park," as en-
acted by Chapter 790 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1912: the purpose of the amendments made by this Act
being to redefine the limits of said town, to prescribe the
method of holding municipal elections therein, to prescribe
additional qualifications of office for Mayor and Council-
men, to provide for the registration of voters in the said
town, to authorize the Council to pay over to the Board of
County School Commissioners of Montgomery County cer-
tain sums to be expended within the corporate limits of the
town for school purposes, to provide for a report by the
assessors and for notifications and hearings of those whose
assessments are changed and for appeals therefrom, to au-
thorize the Mayor and Council to levy general taxes not to
exceed two dollars on each one hundred dollars of assess-
able property, to prescribe the method of holding delinquent
tax sales, to authorize the said town to purchase property at
such sales in certain cases, to require the Treasurer of the
said town to make a report of tax sales to the Circuit Courts
of Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, and to pro-
vide for the ratification of such sales by the Court and the
vesting of title in the purchasers.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Charter of the Town of Takoma Park, Mary-
land, in Prince George's and Montgomery Counties, as enacted
by Chapter 480 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1890,
entitled "An Act to incorporate the Town of Takoma Park,
Montgomery and Prince George's Counties," as amended by
Chapter 558 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1894, by
Chapter 310 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1896, by
