George's County, Maryland, to appoint a court stenogra-
pher.' "

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 427 of the Acts of 1916, being ''An Act to
repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter 204 of the Acts
of 1908 of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same being
'An Act authorizing and empowering the judges of the Circuit
Court for Prince George's County, Maryland, to appoint a
court stenographer,' " be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:

Chapter 427. Section 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the judges of the Circuit Court for
Prince George's County be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to appoint an official court reporter for said court,
who shall 'be an expert stenographer, shall be a sworn officer of
said court, shall hold office during the pleasure of the judges of
said court, and shall be paid a per diem of ten dollars for
each and every day of actual service, payable by the County
Treasurer of said county, as a part of the court expenses, upon
the presentation of the certificate of the clerk, or any of the
judges of said court, showing the attendance and services of
said reporter.

Section 2. And be it enacted, That said reporter shall at-
tend and take full stenographic notes of all oral testimony and
judicial opinions in all proceedings in said court at such times
and in such cases as the court may direct. And said reporter
shall make and furnish to any party, upon request, a type-
written transcript of any part of said notes, on payment by
such party of the expense of such transcript at the rate of
twenty cents for every hundred words.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 525 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of 1920, entitled "An Act to repeal and
re-enact with amendments Section 184 of Article 43 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, title 'Health,' sub-title 'Com-
missioners of Pharmacy,' and to re-enact the same with
amendments for the purpose of permitting persons who have
