and control of such area and exercise all governmental powers
vested in that body just as they are exercised over the area now
included within the limits of the City of Annapolis, and all
acts or parts of acts inconsistent therewith are hereby repealed.
In the event of any section of Anne Arundel County becoming-
part of the City of Annapolis under this Act, the Mayor, Coun-
selor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis is authorized to
include the same within any ward or wards of the City of
Annapolis, or to erect, the same as a new ward or to co-change
the lines of present wards as form new wards of which the
annexed sections are parts, and in the event of the formation of
an additional ward, the same is to be represented by two alder-
men of the same status of the present aldermen of the City of
Annapolis; and the Mayor, Counselor and Aldermen of the
City of Annapolis are further empowered, in the event of any
area becoming annexed to the City of Annapolis under this
Act to issue bonds, the incidents of which shall be determined
by said Mavor, Counselor and Aldermen of the City of An-
napolis, to the amount of not more than ten per cent of the
assessed value of the property within such area, the proceeds
of which are to be used exclusively for improvements within
the area so annexed. 'No question of annexation to the City of
Annapolis under this Act shall be submitted unless the area
concerned shall have a population of at least one hundred per-
sons.

CHAPTER 524.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter 13
of the Acts of the General Assembly of. Maryland passed at
the special session thereof in the year 1901, being Section
153 of Melvin's Code of Public Local Laws for Anne Arun-
del County, sub-title "County Commissioners," and to re-
peal all acts or parts of Acts inconsistent therewith, particu-
larly Sections 191, 192 and 193 of Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title ''Anne Arundel Coun-
ty,'' sub-title "Roads," being Sections 316, 317 and 31S of
said Melvin's Code. The said Section 153 providing for re-
ducing the number of County Commissioners from seven to
three, relating to their duties and qualifications and for road
administration by them and the appointment of a County
Road Engineer by them.
