as security for the performance of the contract or to be applied
to payments upon such contract when due, such money, with
interest accruing thereon, if any, until repaid or so applied
shall continue to be the money of the person making such
deposit or advance and shall be considered a trust fund in
possession of the person with whom such deposit or advance
shall be made, and shall be deposited in a bank or trust com-
pany by the person receiving the same, and shall not be com-
mingled with said person's other funds or become an asset of
such person or trustee, and the person so paying the same shall
be notified by the bank or trust company in which said funds
are deposited.

SEC. 2. That no waiver of the provisions of Section 1 shall
be made so as to evade the provisions of said Section 1 and
any such waiver if so made, shall be considered null and void.

CHAPTER 478.

AN ACT to amend the Act entitled "An Act to Incorporate the
Preachers Aid Society of Baltimore," passed January 27th,
1827; being Chapter^40 of the Laws of Maryland of 1826,
and the re-affirmation of said Act passed at the January
Session of the Legislature of 1858, being Chapter 11 of the
Laws of 1858.

WHEREAS, Samuel Harden, William Wilkins, Thomas E.
Bond, Philip Littig, Andrew Adgate, Thomas Armstrong.,
Fielder Israel, Christian Keener, James Brundige, Alexander
Russell, William M'Konkey, Jr., Thomas Kelso, Robert Arm-
strong, Jacob Rogers, George Ernest and John Berry, members
of the Methodist Episcopal Church of the City of Baltimore,
and others, have formed themselves into a Society for the laud-
able purpose of affording relief to the itinerant ministers of
the said church, their wives, widows and children for the edu-
cation of the latter, and have prayed for an act of incorpora-
tion, that they may be better enabled to carry such their pur-
poses into effect; and the General Assembly of Maryland being
desirous of promoting such institution: therefore,

1. Be it enacted ~by the General Assembly of Maryland,
