imposed or imprisonment in the Jail or House of Correction
for not more than thirty (30) days in the discretion of the
Court; the penalty herein prescribed not to affect the penalty
which may be prescribed by existing law for the violation of
special provisions of the license laws.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall be-
come effective from and after June 1st, 1922.

CHAPTER 52.
AN ACT to repeal Chapter 545 of the Acts of 1912, entitled
"An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter
513 of the Acts of 1910, entitled An Act to incorporate the
Town of Capitol Heights, Prince George's County, State of
Maryland, and to create therein a governing body by the
name and style of Mayor and Common Council; and also to
make unlawful and to punish as a misdemeanor the making
or sale of intoxicating liquor within the limits of said Capi-
tol Heights, and to prohibit the issuing of any license for
such sale of liquor within said town, " and to enact in lieu
thereof a new Charter for the Town of Capitol Heights,
Prince George's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 545 of the Acts of 1912, entitled "An Act
to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter 513 of the
Acts of 1910, entitled An Act to incorporate the Town of Capi-
tol Heights, Prince George's County, State of Maryland, and
to create therein a governing body by the name and style of
Mayor and Common Council; and also to make unlawful and
to punish as a misdemeanor the making or sale of intoxicating
liquor within the limits of said Capitol Heights, and to pro-
hibit the issuing of any license for such sale of liquor within
said town" be and the same is hereby repealed and that a new
Charter for the town of Capitol Heights, Prince George's
County, be and the same is hereby enacted to read as follows:
1. The citizens of the town of Capitol Heights, Prince
George's County, Maryland, are hereby made a body corporate
by the name and style of "Mayor and Common Council of
Capitol Heights, " and by that name may have perpetual succes-
sion, sue and be sued, and have and use a common seal.
