able six mouths from the date of issue of said bonds, which
interest may be evidenced by coupons to be attached thereto.
Coupons or interest on said bonds shall be received in payment
of taxes due said town, and said bonds shall be exempt from all
county and municipal taxation, and said bonds shall be due
and payable twenty years from the date of issue thereof; that
the faith and assessable property of said City of Crisfield are
hereby pledged to the payment of the principal and interest of
said bonds, and that said bonds may be registered by the clerk
of the corporation and shall have printed on them a distinct
reference to this Act authorizing the same.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said bonds
authorized and directed to be issued by this Act shall be sold
by the Mayor and Council of Crisfield for not less than the
par value thereof, and said bonds shall be disposed of at public
auction to the highest and best bidder for cash after notice by
advertisement in all newspapers published in said town of Cris-
field once a week for four successive weeks prior to the date of
said sale, and the proceeds arising from the sale of said bonds
shall be used to pay and liquidate as far as possible all out-
standing certificates of indebtedness, promissory notes, open
accounts and other unsecured debts and obligations due and
owing by said municipal corporation.
SEC. 3. And fee it further enacted. That this Act be and
the same is hereby declared an emergency law and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed by an aye and nay vote supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two houses of
the General Assembly, shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 460.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact wTith amendments Section 136
of Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Kent County," sub-title "Galena," as said section
was amended by Chapter 413 of the Acts of 1920, directing
the County Commissioners of Kent County to pay a certain
sum of money to the town of Galena for road purposes.
