Point. The price of tuition is only thirty-
two dollars per annum, for instruction in ail
the branches we have enumerated.

The College by law is under the direction
of 24 trustees, having authority to fill up va-
cancies in their own body. The Governor
of the State is ex-officio Chancellor of the In-
stitution.

St. Mary's College, in the city of Balti-
more, was originally established by, and ap-
propriated for the education of Catholics, but
has subsequently been opened to persons of
all denominations, and is a seminary of con-
siderable reputation.

Baltimore College, for which a building has
been erected in that city, and an act of incur-
poration granted, has not as yet obtained any
considerable degree of eminence, but is im-
proving.

Washington College, situated in Kent coun-
ty, was destroyed by fire a few years since, as
was also Cokesbury College established to
Harford County by the Methodist Society
some years since,
