II. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said William Brogden, William Steuart, Samuel C. Watkins,
Jonathan Sellman, Leonard Sellman, Osborn S. Harwood, James M'Cullock, Richard Hall, of Ed-
ward, and Joseph Harwood, or such majority of them as may act under this law, shall, before they
proceed under this law, lodge in the clerk's office of Anne-Arundel county, the bond so as aforesaid
to be given by them, there to be recorded, and upon such bond, or any office copy thereof, suit or
suits may be instituted against the obligor or obligors therein, or any of them, or their legal repre-
sentatives, for any breach or non-compliance with the condition of the same.

A Supplement to the ad, entitled, An act for the relief of sundry
insolvent debtors.

WHEREAS the names of Alexander Furnival, John Ciingman and David Porter, senior, of the
city of Baltimore, insolvent petitioners, who are entitled to relief, have not been included
In the act to which this is a supplement; therefore,

II. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the benefits resulting from the saicl
act shall be and are hereby extended to the said Alexander Furnival, John Ciingman and David Por-
ter, senior, of the city of Baltimore, in as full and ample manner as if their names had been men-
tioned in tbe said act, provided that they comply with the provisions of the same.

CHAP. CIX.

A Supplement to the act, entitled, An act respecting the debts due
to this state, and the debtors thereof, and for other purposes.

WHEREAS in and by the above recited act no provision is made to authorise and empower the
governor and council to compound with, or sell the state's right to confiscated British
property discovered or made known to the governor and council since the passage of the said act,
therefore,

II. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the governor and council shall be
and they are hereby vested with full power and authority to compound with all persons who have,
since the passage of the said law, made or shall make discovery of British confiscated, or lia-
ble to confiscation, to the governor and council, and to allow not exceeding one third of the va-
lue of such property to any such person or persons, provided such person or persons shall make ap-
plication to the governor and council on or before the first day of May next, to compound for and
purchase the same; and the governor and council are hereby authorised to dispose of such property
to such applicants, and take bonds, with good and sufficient security, for the purchase money, bear-
ing interest, payable to the state at the periods that may be agreed on.

III. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the governor and council may, in all other respects, proceed
agreeably to the provisions of the act to which this is a supplement, and the purchaser or purchasers
shall be entitled to the same remedy, for recovery of the property purchased, as the said act pre-
scribes.

An ACT to continue the acts of assembly therein mentioned.

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That an act passed at November session,
seventeen hundred and ninety-eight, entitled, An act for the destruction of wolves in Frederick
county, shall be and is hereby continued until the thirtieth day of October, eighteen hundred and
five, and to the end of the next session of assembly which shall happen thereafter; that an act, en-
titled, An act for the improvement of tbe public roads in Kent county, passed at November session,
eighteen hundred, shall be and is hereby continued until the thirtieth day of October, eighteen hun-
dred and five, and to the end of the next session of assembly which shall happen thereafter.

sent session, or before the next session of assembly, except so far as the same may be inconsistent
