Allin Smith & Mary his wife Execut.rx of the Last writ & testament
of Lewis Blangy Late of Kent County Did stand Attached to
Answer ^unto^ Michaell Miller y.e sume of tenn Thousand pounds of
tobacco w.ch from him they Defame &c

And therefore y.e s.d Michaell by John Woodward his Attorny Com
Complaineth & saith: That y.e s.d Lewis Blangy in his Life time
to witt on y.e fourth Day of Octob.r Last Past By Apertaine
from Under y.e hand & seale of him y.e s.d Lewis Blangy and him
selfe to pay unto y.e s.d the sum of Tenn: Thousand of tobacco &
Caske As by y.e s.d Writting more at Large may appear: yett none
the Less: y.e s.d Lewis Blangy in his Life time now the s.d Mary
since his Death And while she was sole: Now y.e s.d Allin Smith
And Mary his wife since their Inter Marriage the sum of tenn
Thousand pounds of tobacco hath not payed Although often there
unto required by y.e s.d Michaell: [illegible] whereupon
the s.d Michaell: saith he is Damnified: & hath Damage to y.e
Vallue of Fifteen Thousand pounds of tobacco: & thereupon he
bringeth his suite &c

And ^y.e^ Deft for plea saith that he is not Guilty: And the plt in his
Declaration hath sett forth: & of this she puts herselfe on this
worshipfull Courtt: Harris p.r Deft: & y.e plt Lickwise: Miller




Upon Petition of William Young Conserning his woman servant
this Courtt orders y.e s.d servant for his trouble in her haveing A
bastard Child to serve her s.d Master one yeares service or
Twelve hundred pounds of tobacco


This Courtt orders A licence to be renewed to Thomas Joce for
Keeping ordinary for y.e yeare Ensuing being June Courtt 1686

The Courtt Adjorns till tomorow morning eight A Clock
