958 September y.e 24.th (1684) Recd their of Michaell Miller of Kent County y.e sum of forty four pounds seaven shillings & six pence sterling it being in part of an obligation for forty nine pounds twelve shillings & four pence sterling due from y.e s.d Michaell Miller unto y.e s.d Henry Kennet & to be paid In Cattle at fifty seaven shillings & six pence p head I say Received p me his more one stear pd Henry N Kennet Jn.o Douty marke These p.rsents shall oblige one Henry Kennet of Kent Count shipwright my heirs &c.a to [illegible] & mend all y.e boats y.t doe properly belong to Michaell Miller of y.e same County for one compleate yeare y.e s.d Michael findeing stuffe to doe y.e same as witness my hand & seale this 24.th day of September 1684 his Henry A Kennet sealed & delivered before us marke Jo.n Bollen Phillip Scotton |
