Whereas this Day Came Thomas Jose of Kent County who Married y.e
Relict & Administratorx of Samuell Tovey Deseased late Ordinary keeper
in y.e s.d County of Kent & made Complaint to this Courtt that their Debts
standing out & Due to y.e Estate of y.e s.d Tovey in way of his Ordinary keeper
upward of forty thousand Pounds of Tobacco And that he Cannot recover
A great Partt of y.e same by Reason y.e Comisson.rs of Kent County Court deny
or Refuse to admit y.e oath of y.e Booke Keeper who kept y.e Books of y.e s.d
Tovey for y.e Proofe of y.e s.d Debts It is therefore ordered by y.e s.d Booke
keepers oath is & ought to be valid & good for y.e Proofe of y.e s.d Debts
And That yo.u y.e Comisso.rs of y.e s.d County of Kent Admitt such Book
keeper to take oath before yo.u in Courtt or otherwise for Proofe of y.e
s.d Debts Unless such Booke Keep shall Lye Under legall Impediment
y.t shall impead or hinder him from takeing any such Oath as afores.d
