936 Command was Given to the sheerif of Kent County the 28.th day of April Anno Dom 1698 that he take Robert Hilton if he should be found in his Bailiwick and him safe Keepe soe that he have his Body before his Maj.ties Justices att the next Court to Answer unto Thomas Usher of a plea of Trespasse upon the case Att which Court viz the 28.th day of June Anno Dom 1698 the day of returne of sd Writt came Cap.t Edward Sweatnam high sheerif of sd County and made returne of sd Writt in these words Cepi Edw Sweatnam sheft On which said day the said Robert Hilton in his proper person comes into Court and confesseth Judgm.t for the sume of 450.ll poundes of Tobaccoe Therfore it is considered by this Court that the plt Thomas Usher doe Recover from the Defend.t Robert Hilton as well the aforesd sume of Four Hundred and Fifty poundes of Tobaccoe debt as allsoe the sume of One hundred Ninety and Nine poundes of Tobaccoe cost of suit S Wilmer Clk
Smith Esq comes into Court and becomes Especial Bail and promiseth that the said Peter Peterson shall pay condemnation if cast or he will doe it for him And the said Defend.t by Richard Macklin moves this Court y.t the Plt may put in Security for his cost and damages if cast w.ch was allsoe granted M.r Michael Earle comes into Court and becomes security and promiseth that the said Thomas Bruff shall pay condemnacon if cast or he will doe if for him Command was given to the sheerif of Kent County the 28.th day of April Anno Dom 1698 that he take James Brannock and Sussanna his Wife if they should be found in his Bailiwick and them safe Keepe soe that he have their Bodies before his Maj.ties Justices att the next Court to Answer unto Micajah Perry and Comp.a of a plea of Trespasse upon the case |
