And the sd Hugh Marsh comes into Court with his security
and becomes bound unto our soveraigne Lord y.e King in y.e
sume of Twenty poundes sterl money of England to be
leavied on his Lands and Tenem.ts goods and Chattels provided
he make not his personal appearance att the Next Court
and in the mean time be of good Abearance towards
all his Maj.ties good people to which he gave his consent

Isaac Caulk being presented p y.e Grand Jury in November
last for selling Rum for sixteen shillings p Gallon

Command was therfore given to the sheerif of Kent
County y.e 25.th day of November Anno Dom 1697 that
he Cause the sd Isaac Caulk soe that he be and appeare
before his Maj.ties Justices att y.e Next Court to Answer &c.a

Att which Court viz the 15.th day of Feb.ry the day of Returne
of sd Writt came Cap.t Edward Sweatnam high sheerif of sd
County and made returne of sd Writt in these words viz
Cepi p Edw Sweatnam sheft

And now here att this day the sd Isaac Caulk being called
to Answer the sd presentm.t now Appeares which sd presentm.t
being Leavied into an Indictm.t and the sd Bill being read in
the sd writt viz
