This Indenture made y.e thirtieth Day of January 1684 in y.e Tenth
yeare of the Dominion of Charles Absolute Lord & proprietry of the Province
of Maryland & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c Between Daniell
Norris of Kent County in y.e Province of Maryland Mason of the one
partt and John Rodes of y.e s.d County Cooper of the other partt Witnesseth
That y.e s.d Daniell Norris Doth hereby acknowledge for & in [illegible]
of y.e sume of Five thousand & four hundred pounds of tobacco
Caske to him in hand Payed By the s.d John Roades at before y.e on [illegible]
& Delivery hereof well & truly paied or secured to be paied The [illegible]
whereof y.e s.d Daniell Norris Doth hereby acknowledge himselfe there w.th
& for every partt & parcell thereof Fully sattisfied Contented and paied
and of every partt & parcell thereof Doth hereby absolutely & Clearly
Acquit & Discharge y.e s.d John Rodes his heires executors & adminis
for ever by these p.rsents have given granted bargained Alieanated
Enfeoffed & Confirmed: And by these p.rsents Doth Fully Clearly and
absolutely give grant bargaine & sell Alien Enfeoffe & Confirme
unto him y.e s.d John Rodes his heires & Executors & Administrators for
ever all that Parcell or tract of Land Prickell Deare Lying in Kent
County on y.e North side of Chester River & on y.e east side of y.e Creeke
Called Norris Creeke Begining at a marked white oake standing on a
pointt at y.e mouth of y.e s.d Creeke & Runing up y.e River seats east one
hundred pearches to Another marked oake & with A line Drawne from
y.e s.d oake North east three hundred & twenty pearches and w.th a line
Drawne from y.e end of the Northeast line North West one [illegible]
onto Norris Creeke bounded on y.e west w.th y.e s.d Creeke to y.e [illegible]
oake on y.e s.d River Containing & layed out for two hundred
Acres more or less Togather with all & singuler the Rights proffits
& benefitts thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining with all
Patents Deed writtings Evidences or maniscripts touching or in any wise
appertaining or Concerning y.e Premisses or any partt or parcell thereof
To have & to hold y.e s.d Parcell or Tract of Land in y.e p.rmises
before granted w.th all & every y.e Priveledges thereunto belonging or in
any wise appertaining or to any parcell or member thereof unto him y.e
s.d John Rodes his heires executors Administrators use & behooff [illegible]
and y.e s.d Daniell Norris Doth for himselfe his heirs Executors & Administrators
That y.e s.d Tract of Land & all other the [illegible]
