794 A Certiorary being in Court Read wherein it is commanded that the Justices of this County doe Transmit such Testamentary proceedings which cann be found among the Records of this County Ordered that the Clerk Examine and search for such Testamentary proceedings and when found deliver them to the sheerif that they may be Transmitted According to the Ten.r of sd Writt M.r John Coursey proves a Letter of Attorney from John Browne Jun.r of London M.rchant to M.r Joseph Lambert William Austin Proves an Accompt ag.t the Estate of Lawrence Franklin for the sume of Three hundred sixty and Two poundes of Tobaccoe Robert Foreman bring sum to shew cause why he did deliver in John Walls to the Constable being supposed to be a Taxable person Now appeares but this Court not being well satisfied with his Reason it is therfore Ordered by this Court that William Bateman be sum to appeare att next Court to Testifie the truth of his Knowledge concerning the Age of the sd Walls and likewise that the sd Jn.o Walls be sum himselfe that the Court may Judge theron themselves Simon Wilmer Clk Sarah Hall being bound to appeare here att this Court (to Answer the Complaint of M.r Michael Miller) now app.rs And the sd Michael Miller complains that the sd Sarah hath communicacon and correspondence with A Negroe belonging unto him the sd Michael Named Gallant and that the sd Sarah had owned to several persons that she had Recd Wood from the sd Negroe Robert White Daniel Kelly and Sarah Cox being sworne to testifie the truth of their Knowledge concerning the promises made it appeare that the sd Sarah Hall had acknowledged to have Wool from the sd Negroe Named Gallant |
