And the said Edward Sweatnam by Richard Macklin his
attorney appearing on the said 23.th day of M.rch Anno Dom 1696
prayes therof to Imparle untill Next Court which was granted
the same day is given to the Plt allsoe

And now here att this day viz the 23.th day of June Anno
Dom 1697 came as Well the said William Hemsley in his prop
person as allsoe the said Edward Sweatnam by Richard
Macklin his Attorney and the cause standing for Tryal and
being debated as well on the Plt behalfe as on the Defend.ts and
there appearing to this Court that there were Five of the persons
menconed in the said scire facias taken in Execucon by the
Defend.t Capt Edward Sweatnam but no more Judgm.t is therfore
awarded for 1000.ll of Tobaccoe unto y.e said Plt

Therfore it is considered b y this Court that the Plt William
Hemsley have Execucon ag.t the Defend.t Cap.t Edward Sweatnam
for One Thowsand poundes of Tobaccoe as allsoe the sume of

Upon Motion to this Court made by M.r Geofry Power Ordered
that the said Geofry be permitted to have the use of Fifty Foot square
of Land perteining to the Land belonging to the Court house of
Kent County To have and To Hold the said Fifty Foot square of
Land unto him the said Geofry or any Facter from him sent for
and dureing the Tearme of Twenty Yeares to be commenced from
the date hereof he the sd Geofry or his Assignes paying Yearly and
every Yeare for and dureing the said Tearme six pence sterl to
be paid unto the Com.rs of said County in August Court And when the
said Geofry shall not have Occation Neither by himselfe nor Factor to
make use of the said Demised p.rmises that then it shall and may be
Lawfull (Notwithstanding the above menconed Grant) for the Justices of sd
County to make use the sd Land or any the appurtnances therunto belonging
And att the Expiracon of the said Tearme the said Land w.th the appurtnances
to Revert to the County of Kent
