March y.e 24.th 1696 The same Court sitts againe p.rsent
as before

Thomas Coursey haveing Peticoned this Court to practice as an Att.ry
and being Accordingly admitted takes the Oathes appointed by Act
of Parliament instead of y.e Oathes of Aleigance and Supramacy
as allsoe the Oath of an Attorney

Auld Tryal Dockett called viz

Command was Given to the sheerif of Kent County y.e 30.th day of
October Anno Dom 1696 that he Take Nicholas Cloudes if he should
be found in his Bailiwick and him safe Keepe soe that he have his
Body before his Maj.ties Justices att y.e Next Court to Answer unto Nicholas
Milbourne of a plea that he render unto him the full and Just sume
of Five hundred Forty and six poundes of Tobaccoe &c.a

Att which Court viz on the 24.th day of November Anno Dom 1696 y.e
day of returne of the said Writt came Capt Edward Sweatnam high
sheerif of sd County and made Returne of the sd Writt in these
following Wordes the Within Named allready in my custody by
vertue of an Execucon from the Provintial Court Edw Sweatnam sheff

And the Matter being continued from Court to Court until this p.rsent
day and now standing for Tryal came y.e sd Nich.o Milbourne by W.m Hemsley
                            and declareth viz

Kent fs     Cloudes otherwise called Nicholas Cloudes of Kent County Gent was
                summoned to Answer Nicholas Milbourne of a plea that he render him
                the full and Just sume of Five hundred Forty and six poundes of every
                way well condiconed Tobaccoe which to him he oweth and from him he
                unjustly deteineth

And whereupon the sd Nich.o Milbourne by William Hemsley his Att.ry
saith that whereas the sd Nicho Cloudes on the 26.th day of October Anno
Dom 1696 in sd County within the Jurisdicon of this Court by his certaine
bill or Writing obligatory sealed with his seale as his Act and deed delivered
and here in Court brought whose date is the same day and
