71 (36) This Indenture made y.e 25.th Day of Aug.st in y.e yeare Lord 1680 and in y.e fifth yeare of y.e Dominion of Charles Absolute Lord & proprietory of y.e Province of Maryland & Avalon L.d Barron of Baltemore &c Between James Ringgold of Kent County in y.e Province of Maryland Gen.t of y.e one partt & y.e s.d Right honr.ble Charles L.d Baltemore of y.e other partt Wittnesseth that y.e s.d James Ringgold for y.e Consideration hereinafter mentioned hath given grantted enfeoffed & Confirmed and by these p.rsents Doth Fully Freely & absolutely give grant Enfeoffed and Confirme Unto y.e s.d Charles Lord Baltemore his heirs & successors for ever all ^it^ building or structure lately ended it by his Lordships Justices of Kent County afores.d Together w.th y.e Consent and approbation of y.e inhabitants of Kent County afores.d being built onely for a Court house or house of Indenture for y.e s.d County & to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever w.th A Prison house or Comon Grate near Adjoining being also lately enserted And also all y.t Lott or parcell of ground to y.e s.d Courtt house belonging as y.e same is now Laied out limeted and bounded That is to said begining at a locust Post standing by y.e street side att y.e South end of y.e Cornner lott of y.e east streett & Runing for length two hundred feett to another Locst post bounding on y.e East by a line Drawne South one hundred feett to another locust Post bounding on the South by a line Drawen west two hundred feett to another Locust Postt bounding on y.e West by a line Drawen North one hundred feet to y.e first named Post bounding on y.e West by y.e s.d street Containing in all y.e same more or Less Which s.d Courtt house & prison and parcell of Land are scituate Lying and being in y.e Towne of New yarmouth in y.e s.d County of Kent with all & singuler Rights Priviledges & Appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have & to hold y.e Courtt house Prison & Parcell of land with y.e Appurtinences unto the s.d Charles Lord Baltemore his heirs and successors For ever to y.e use intent & purpose herein after nominated or mentioned and Specified That is to said to y.e use and behoof of his Lordshipps Justices of the Peace for y.e s.d County of Kent Successively to be by them used occupied & imployed as a house & Place of Justice and Judicature and not otherwise: And y.e s.d James Ringgold for himselfe his heirs and assigns Doth Covinant and grant to & with y.e s.d Charles Lord Baltemore his heirs & successors: that it shall And may be lawfull to & For y.e s.d Charles Lord Baltemore his heirs & successors from time to time & att all times hereafter quietly & peaceably to hold and enjoy y.e s.d Courtt houses & Prison: and other y.e p.rmises with y.e appurtinances without y.e lett trouble or interupttion of him y.e s.d James Ringgold his heirs or assignes or any other person or persons whatsoever Claiming by From or under him: them or any of them and y.t y.e s.d Charles Lord Baltemore his heirs & successors & every of them shall & may att all times for ever hereafter stand and be seized of y.e s.d Courtt house prison & parcell of Land to y.e use intent and Purpose herein before mentioned and Declared And to no other use intent & Purpose whatsoever in Wittnes &c
