        of Jan.ry Anno Dom 1696 being adjourned
                    from Yesterday

Upon the motion of Capt Edward Sweatnam high
sheerif of this County it is by this Court Ordered that
upon Comittm.t of any person to the sheerif his Custody
shall becom due for such committm.t the sume of Forty
poundes of Tob as a Fee to the sheerif

Upon representacon to this Court concerning a runaway
serv.t belonging to John Bowles his m.r denying to pay his
Leavy and this Court haveing duely considered the Matter
doe Order that the said servant be accompted a Taxable

Ordered by this Court that Capt Edward Sweatnam pay
unto John Sutton the sume of six Thowsand poundes of Tobaccoe
being soe much assessed in the County Leavy for the building
a Court house

Wheras Yesterday viz the 27.th day of Jan.ry Anno Dom 1696
Comand was given to the sheerif to cause Ann Smith Henry Green
& Uxor with several other persons to appeare before this COurt
all which according to the said command now appeares save
Henry Green and the said persons upon Examinacon doe
declare that what was reported concerneing the stets
being in Armes &c.a came from the said Henry Green &
Barnett Powell it is therfore ordered by this Court that
the sheerif cause the said Henry Green and Barnett
Powell Immediatly to appeare before this Court &
accordingly sum is Issued out
