Kent fs  Peter Alaby otherwise called Peter Alaby of Kent County
Planter Adm of all and singuler the goods and Chattels debts rights
and Credits of William Webb late of Kent County Deacd
stands Attached to Answer unto Thomas Hix of a plea that
he render unto him four hundred pds of Tobaccoe which to him
he Oweth and from him unjustly detaineth &c.a And wherupon
the said Thomas Hix by Griffith Jones his Attorney complain=
eth and saith that Whereas the aforesd W.m Webb [within the]
Jurisdiction of this Court the Twentieth day of Septemb.r
Anno Dom 1696 att Langfords Bay att in the aforesd County
as by his certain bill which to the sd Thomas Hix with the
seal of him the said W.m Webb signed here brings into
Court whose date is the same day and Yeare did Acknowledge
himselfe to owe unto the sd Thomas Hix the aforesd Four
hundred poundes of Tobaccoe to be paid unto him the sd Thomas
Hix his Ex.rs Adm or Assignes att or before the 10.th day of 8ber
next Ensueing the date of the sd Bill and to which paym.t well
and faithfully to be made the aforesaid William Webb did
obleige his Heires Exect.rs to the said Bill Notwithstanding
