Leiten.t Coll Hance Hanson being one of the Justices menconed
in the Comicon for this County and not haveing
taken the Oathes consonant to the said Comicon the sd
Leiten.t Coll Hance Hanson is by this Court sent for who
accordingly appeares ordered that the Comicon of peace
be read which being performed Leiten.t Coll Hance Hanson
takes the Oathes appointed p Act of Parliam.t instead
of the Oathes of Allegeiance and supremacy as allsoe
the Oath of a Comiconer and sitts

                        Court adjournes until to Morrow 8 a clock

November y.e 25.th 1696 the same Court sitts
Againe present as before all but Lei Coll Hance Hanson

Darby Italy is by this Court fined Two shillings
for swearing

Grand Jury called and present this Following Bill
viz

Kent fs  The Jurors for our soveraigne Lord the King that now
is &c.a for the Body of Kent County upon their Oathes doe p.rsent
John Hodges of sd County for that he the said Jn.o Hodges on
the 30.th day of September att Easterne Neck hundred in sd County
within the Jurisdicon of this Court by force and Armes viz 10.th
swords staves and clubs upon the Free hold of the Orphans
of Wm Hodges late in sd County deceaced did then and there
Enter and the same with force &c.a doth hold ag.t the peace
of our soveraigne Lord the King that Now is &c.a and the
lawes in that case made and provided

Richard Mason W.m Crow Writ            Hemsley p Dom Regl

                on the back side of sd Bill signed Billa Vera

David Davison Henry Jackson and Richard Morrice being
presented to the grand Jury by way of Indictm.t but the
Grand Jury returneing upon the said Bills Ignoramus

It is therfore Ordered by this Court that the said David
Davison Henry Jackson and Richard Morrice be discharged from the
same
